We work very hard in our lives, and while we may sleep, we rarely take time to rest. Restorative yoga poses help us learn to relax and rest deeply and completely. During deep relaxation, all the organ systems of the body are benefited. A few of the measurable results of deep relaxation are the reduction of blood pressure, the increase of the "good cholesterol" levels, as well as improvement in digestion, fertility, elimination, the reduction of muscle tension, insomnia and generalized fatigue. A great way to end the work-week. All levels welcome. |

In our Mindful Yoga Series, we will begin to explore the Spiritual aspects of our Yoga Practice, as a way to deepen our understanding and connection to our whole self: body, emotions, mind, & Spirit. We will practice The Eight Limbs of Yoga including: Pranayama (breathing), Asanas (poses), Pratyahara (sense control), and Dharana (inner meditation) in a Vinyasa Style (flowing), as we grow together, work toward holding poses for greater time periods, deepen our stretches, and develop a greater understanding of how to integrate our practice into our daily life.
